SIA (English International Section)
The International Section at Sainte Ursule offers a unique opportunity for English-speaking youngsters. Children who are native English-speakers or who are bi-lingual because of time spent in an English-speaking country or at an International School have the chance to join the English International Section. There are two classes, one for 6e and 5e and another for 4e and 3e with 3 or 4 hours per week respectively. The classes are held at the same time as the standard English lessons for the rest of their classes so these students benefit from English at a level which is right for them. The International Section classes are given by native English Language teachers who offer a balanced syllabus broadly inspired by syllabuses used in the UK and in International Schools. The aim is to offer these pupils something more in line with what they would receive were they studying English in an English-speaking country.
There is an admission test for entry into the English International Section to ensure that the level is right for the students concerned. Admission into this section takes priority over admission into the European Section.
